Squerbly is a goofy, easy to use drawing program similar to that of MS Paint, meant for creating silly doodles in your desktop that can be converted to GIFs!! You can pick from various brush styles and tools to unleash your inner creativity! :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This drawing program is meant for use in your desktop, so you are unable to save your drawings in the browser version, but that doesn't mean a screenshot can't do! :D

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enjoy!! And thanks for checking out Squerbly! :3

Side Note: If you'd like to use the program at the max screen size, hit the + button in the top left corner! :)

Instructions for turning your ART into a GIF:
* THIS ONLY WORKS IN THE DOWNLOADABLE VERSION. sorry :(

- = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = -

STEP 1. SAVE DRAWING!

To do this you can either hit the floppy disk icon on the toolbar, or (if you have no clue what a floppy disk is) press ENTER on your keyboard!

Doing so should make a popup appear: a folder with 3 images of your drawing.

These three images are crucial to making your beautiful GIF...

STEP 2. CONVERT IMAGES INTO GIF!

Now you need to convert the three images of your drawing into a gif.

To do this you will need to go into your browser and find a program to convert images into GIFS.

Personally, I like to use: ezgif.com/maker

From here it is quite simple. You just need to take the three images you saved of your drawing, and drop them into whatever website your using to make the gif and it should do the rest of your work for you!!

Now you just need to download your gif and you should be done!!!!!

It’s kind of similar to Shake Art haha. (Shake Art also allows you to save your art as a GIF but as a ready-made GIF haha)

Amazing software!!, i just wanna know how do you conver to gif, would help Dx

Really neat piece of work! (You're a better artist than me lol)
The instructions to download your work as a GIF is included within the PLEASEREADME.TXT included in the downloadable version of Squerbly. If you're in the browser version, sadly there is no way to save it as a gif :(

Here is the instructions in the case you don't want to go search around for it:

STEP 1. CREATE A MASTERPIECE!

Got this step already down? Thought so. Moving on...

Oh, and now you're halfway done!!

STEP 4. BASK IN THE GLORY!

You have the most fabulous gif, perhaps of all time, and can now enjoy all of the attention and approval you get from your peers after showing them your gesamtkunstwerk!!!

thanks for checking out Squerbly! :3

Did you use Lipsu's base? man, it saddens me to see that is more famous

(1 edit) (+1)

Never heard of Lipsu's base. May be similar, but I made this all by myself over a few days in Unity from scratch!! :) Could you send the link so I can check out the other program that I assume is much better though lmao

Bruh, just search, youre actin kinda egocentricous

wot, the folks on the server were right when they said you were messing up. a good fan doesn't go looking for trouble just leave the guy alone, and this isn't a Lipsu copy, it's for a completely different niche

thanks for sticking out for me, lol. just realized you created the art program they were talking about, looks really cool!! definitely hadn't seen it before though, but I see where this fellow is coming from. Again, thank you, and have a nice day :)

Very cool ! I would suggest disabling the window buttons, such as "close window" in the web version ^^'

Oh, that's actually a really good idea! I'll make a version without it for the web browser later. Thank you for trying out Squerbly! :P

A pretty unique art program and its always cool to see tools made in game engines. It is a bit hard to use (or maybe I'm not used to drawing with a mouse) and it could an undo button. A pretty solid program and its neat that you made it in just a few days.

Thank you for checking out my goofy program! And yeah, I certainly agree that an undo button would've been an important feature to add, may do that in some sort of updated version if I make one of this. Also really great artwork! Cool seeing someone able to make something actually good looking in this program (i'm not the best artist if you couldn't tell by the program's logo haha)

Very interesting drawing tool! I've never seen an animated drawing tool similar to this. It seems like it would be very useful for a particular art style. I might try this tool out for a future Game Jam.

Thank you! Glad to know you found the tool pretty interesting! :D
